Couple Joyfully Wed after Eight-Month Deployment

Sonji and Radiah woke up on their wedding day to one of Seattle’s glorious clear, warm, sunny days. The sun could not compete, though, with their bright smiles, laughter, and sheer joy in getting married! They had waited a long time for this day, which included enduring an eight-month separation while Radiah was on deployment to the other side of the world.

Both brides were resplendent in their pink outfits. Sonji wore a beautiful, knee-length pink gown with a white garter hiding underneath and Radiah wore a gorgeous gray and black outfit with a pink shirt.  A stunning pink necklace, bracelet, and jeweled shoes completed Sonji’s outfit while Radiah’s outfit was accompanied by a beautiful diamond necklace and boutonniere.

The brides wrote their own vows to one another.  Sonji wrote:
“You are the kindest, most unselfish person I know.
You are my friend, my better half and the love of my life.
How did I get so lucky?”

Radiah’s vows quoted from the Song of Songs (Chap 8: 6-7) in the Bible:
“Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm;
For love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave.
It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame.
Many waters cannot quench love: rivers cannot wash it away.”

They were married at the Four Seasons Hotel in Seattle, which provided a high level of service to the brides, including supplying a coordinating wedding cake, bridal  bouquet, and boutonniere for the newlyweds.  The color theme of pink, lavendar, and white was carried throughout the whole wedding. After the wedding ceremony, the brides cut the cake and toasted each other with champagne.

Every aspect of their wedding was documented by the beautiful pictures Barbara Roser Photography took before, during, and after the ceremony.   The pictures will be a beautiful keepsake for the bridal couple.

Sonji and Radiah are an on-the-go couple.  Sonji will graduate from college next month and afterwards, the couple will relocate to California for Radiah’s next duty station.  Wherever they go, their joy and contagiously-upbeat personalities will follow! We wish them many loving years together as they travel through life hand in hand.

Easter Sunday Shines Brightly On Wedding

Kelly and Bonnie Rae were married on an unseasonably warm and bright, sunny Easter Sunday at the Millennium Room in Auburn, Washington. The brides and their guests were dressed in Easter colors. Both brides were escorted down the aisle by Bonnie’s father after her niece sang “I Wanna Grow Old With You”, accompanied on the guitar by her nephew. It was a beautiful ceremony with a reading from Gift From The Sea by Anne Morrow Lindbergh. Knowing that “love is easy, but relationships can be hard”, the reading talked about relationships and how they grow and change through the years. A relationship starts out so pure and simple, yet through the course of every day life, it changes and becomes complicated. It compares a good relationship with a good dance – the partners do not hold on to each other tightly, but they move in the same pattern while the dance is endlessly and beautifully unfolding. “They know they are partners moving to the same rhythm, creating a pattern together, and being invisibly nourished by it.” Bonnie and Kelly then recited their vows to each other that they had written, expressing the things they will do to help nourish and grow their relationship. A reception followed along with the cake cutting and several different kinds of cake to choose from! We wish Bonnie and Kelly a wonderful, long, and loving life together!
